Hendrick Motorsports Chassis #24-422 is a 2007 Chevrolet Impala SS that was raced by 4-Time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Jeff Gordon during the 2007 and 2008 seasons. Jeff drove this race car 3 times during these two seasons at Martinsville, Richmond, and Las Vegas. Two of these were Top-5 finishes. Chassis 24-422 will be offered in the iconic red & blue flame DuPont Racing paint scheme as raced in the 2007 Richmond race.
Certified Race Car #24-422 was built by Hendrick Motorsports team members, using Hendrick Motorsports authentic raced parts and includes a certified Hendrick Motorsports 800+HP R07 358 C.I.D. V8 racing engine coupled to a race spec 4-speed transmission. Putting the power to the pavement is a Hendrick designed 9" rear housing assembly with locking differential. The tubular steel roll cage, coupled with the custom race seat and belt harnesses, meets the safety and high standards that were typical for any Hendrick Motorsports race car of that era. The Hendrick engineered heavy duty suspension and race spec brake systems were originally built to handle the rigors of the most demanding race tracks on the circuit.
This will be one of the last opportunities to own an authentic Jeff Gordon race car. And one of only a few built for-sale out of Hendrick Motorsports. Rebuilt with the collector in mind, this Hendrick Motorsports DuPont race car comes complete with Certificates of Authenticity, extensive documentation, and an assortment of race day photographs, as well as exclusive membership to the Hendrick Motorsports Certified Racecar Registry.
